You obviously don't know my husband.. he'll come in from work, ask why I've not made him a cup of tea and what's for dinner, moan when I ask him to hoover, go on the pc then plonk himself in front of the xbox when his mates come round.

I think we do! Does yours complain about doing ONE smelly nappy by saying 'I always get the nasty ones!'.... uh hello??? This is the man who is out of the house from 8-6 and obviously our daughter only does pooey nappies on the ONE TIME in about a week that he has to change her???
:rotfl: yes he does! lol, before he started this new job he was a full-time stay at home dad and he loved it though, before he used to say (when I was stay at home mam) "you do nothing all day, you have it so easy"
When i started work again he said "I'm knackered, you get to sit on your bum all day at work, while I do all this housework and watch the kids"................................................................................

I'm going to get controversial now. Right here goes....
I'm not sexist but I am firm believer that a woman will look after the baby, clean the house, do the meals in fact all the domestic chores better, quicker than a man without batting an eyelid. Why?? Well simply, it is more instinctive for the female of the species to do these tasks. Why is this? Instinct thats what. Because it is generically inherent for a woman to look after the family. The animal kingdom is the prime example of this. God I hope I'm not the only man having a cup of tea this afternoon!!

    Afternoon all

The OHs sound like a pain! Go away for a couple of days and leave them to it. Makes my father have a fit, he realises after two days that the washing up won't do itself
I actually threatened this on sat nite, after I got home from work while he sat drinking with his mates,(on his day off and had done NOTHING) he laughed and said have a nice time!
I had nowhere to go so eneded up staying at home...doing the washing, making tea, bathing kids, got them to sleep, cried myself to sleep while he sat laughing and drinking with his mate!

Joking apart though that book was taught in schools as late as the late 70s. I believe that we are still in a generation that is still fighting the 'Woman's place is in the home' stance. Although I still think is down to instinct both on the female and male part...

So obviously it's in a mans nature to be completely pig ignorant when it comes to helping out? I'm very heavily pregnant and sure nature would suggest that the male has to protect the female carrying it's offspring?
Maybe I should divorce my husband and go marry a nice chimpanzee or something... then again, whats the difference? LOL
