More than one basic/cash account?

My apologies if this has been asked before, but are there any banks out there who will let you have more than one basic account? This is required for budgeting/"piggy-banking" purposes.

So far, Nationwide and Lloyds TSB do NOT allow this.

The only ones we cannot consider are RBS group.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I see. The problem here is that this is for my wife who has a very poor credit history and therefore does not qualify for a normal bank account. If she had a current account such as yours then she would have no trouble adding an additional one. What she specifically needs is to be able to have multiple CASH accounts without one of them being a current account.
At the moment, she's having to go to a different bank for each one, which to me is ludicrous.

You can open multiple easycash accounts with Halifax once you have one open, no problem. I have 3 open with them.

Perhaps Barclays. I think you can have more than one of their basic accounts. I know that Natwest definitley do, which is unfortunate as they part of the RBS group
