Hi

I have just finish a fixed deal with EON and have defaulted to a standard rate, so need to do something about it.

Usage: Gas 21,000 kWh/year
Elec 5,500 kWh/year

1. phone them and go onto saveOnlinev6

2. switch to another dual fuel supplier, both MoneySupermarket and EnergyOnlineHelp say save £70 with BG websaver11

3. then separate suppliers
MoneySupermarket
Gas - BG £24
Elec - npower £99
Total £123

EnergyHelpLine
Gas - BG -£31
elec - npower £86
Total £55

Which one do I for seperate suppliers believe?
the only good thing is the npower tariff is a Go Fix 5 and things are only going up.

I am thinking. I need £5/month ~ £60/year threashold to make me switch.

So either just stick with EON and switch to a better tariff or go for duel fuel with BG websaver11 to reduce hassle of switching :-)

What do people think?
Thanks
Giles

What supply area are you in? (or first part of post code)

    What is your current tariff?
Note if you didn't say current tariff is EON standard rate, you may get differing results. I know EHL will assume you will be on that as your current tariff expires, but MoneySupermarket may not.

The output will be the same from the comparison sites, but if you still need help, ask again.

It can often be that separate suppliers are cheaper than a dual fuel supplier so you were wise to check this option :)

Ignore how much the energy site say you are saving compare the total annual cost they show against the total you paid for the last 12 months. I have found this gives a truer figure regarding savings or increases.

Hi glewis - Try 'switchwithwhich' They come up with the usual list of suppliers in ascending price order,
but on each one there are Tariff and Terms icons which will give you the fine detail of that suppliers tariff, directly alongside the fine detail of your present supplier tariff

    Hi all

thanks for the replies, I have gone for BG websaver11 through simplyswitch for the £40 cash back and £70 (supposed saving) and keeping with one supplier to keep it simpler.

    Kidn regards
