Arc Property Solicitors - dreadful service, awful reputation!

I was passed to arc property solicitors from an over streched dehavillands, I saw this thread and was very dubious about useing them. I have nothing but praise for this company as I rang them expressing my worries they assured me that a new team had taken over conveyancing and were all proffectional.
From the moment of instruction I was well informed via e-mail for every step of the way and any questions asked were answered fully within a few hours,
from instruction to completion was exactly 8 weeks and would have been quicker if our buyer's building society had been quicker with a mortgage offer.
Rahul was easy to talk to and very effient cannot recomend them more highly. and the bill was no more than first quoted very reasonable,
give them a try , well worth it .

Good god, some people really are thick. The Arc employee above should at least try to be more subtle or less slavering with their praise.

how fab that the poster above joined specifically to post on this thread! Ive posted before about Arc and the thread got pulled as ARC dont like people to post about their incompetency.

Ive had the misfortune of having had to deal with them twice in the past and on both occasions everyone in the chain has been incredibly frustrated at their actions.

I plead with anyone thinking of using them, dont!

I WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I GOT INVOLVED WITH ARC PROPERTY. here to recent update NOTHING seems to have changed we are now in Sept 2012. I can ditto all of the above mention complaints, four months (3.5 of it consisted of self service chasing up necessary offical paperwork and a 600mile return journey)it took only to get to the exchange part...that never concluded because buyer pulled out and oh yeah the house i was buying has been vacant for 6 weeks. This company shouldn't be allowed to operate due to the volume of complaints.@ Doris love lucky you do you really exist or are you an employee of ARC?

I too didn't read this first & yes, I know I should have. Due to their terrible service I went to the legal ombudsman as they hadn't paid us our money 10 days after completion. I have to say that once the official complaint was served things moved pretty quickly. I can only give the ombudsman all our thanks for sorting this out in a speedy manner & increasing the compensation offered.

I have just completed my house purchase thro ARC property solicitors and what a bloody joke this company is..I found them on the internet and they looked reasonable..Jesus if only i,d known or read some of the numerous negative reviews about them !!!
This company never ever ever answer the phone..To me the estate agents or the vendors solicitors..They pass your case from one staff member to another and each one is full of excuses..Blaming everyone else but the one at fault which is THEM !!!!My house purchase was a cash purchase but they still made numerous mistakes and i found the whole process incredibly stressful and how i wish i hadnt used them ...If i could give anyone a word of advice it would be look at the reviews and 1 out of 5 star ratings they have on forums and then look at the odd 5 star rating they have and ask yourself do the 5 star reviews look ilke they have been written by a member of their staff or a customer ??????

I completed today and they had my money for purchasing in their bank Friday afternoon but didnt send it across until 4pm Monday and wouldnt answer the phone or e mails ALL DAY MONDAY TO ANYONE !!!!!!!!!!! BLOODY ANNOYING AND RUDE BEYOND BELIEF ...DO NOT USE THEM !!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!! WHAT A BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT FOOLS !!!!!!!!
