I ordered an Indian takeaway through Hungryhouse on Saturday night,i ended up chewing on a piece of plastic and mentioned this when reviewing my order. If your review is chosen as the winning one you receive £25 to use on future orders(I have won 3 times).
Because my review mentioned the foreign object in my food they sent me an e-mail saying they couldn't publish it as it questions if the food was fit for human consumption. My question is what is the point of reviews if you cannot be honest, does it mean all reviews have to be good ones.

I agree a review should be a review good or bad.0

They said the review suggested the food was unfit for human consumption,it had plastic in it so it was!0

This is why I no longer leave reviews I have had polite, factual but negative reviews removed on Just Eat several times so now I just go elsewhere if I'm not happy, via a complaint to the relevant head office.0

People write reviews for hungryhouse on the trust pilot site too as it is an independent website they cannot prevent negative comments being published there & they do reply publicly to some reviews.

Err, if I were reading reviews of a restaurant, whether the food was fit for human consumption is something I'd be *very* interested in..!0 -

you have to be so careful when it comes to takeaways/restaurants etc and you put your trust in them to serve nice meals - id want to know if they were leaving things in there ugh!0

I've had problems with both Just Eat and Hungry House, to the point where since the last issue of last week I have simply given up.
Problems have varied between different items being sent than what was ordered, order arriving two and a half hours late, a portion of spare ribs turning up in a skanky KFC box, food stone cold, I could go on.
I got too tired having to constantly ring Customer Service to complain, prior to contacting them several times by e-mail, which they ignored. Last weekend was the final straw when I called them to find out where our meal was (after 1 hour 20) to be told to call the restaurant myself to find out what the problem was, despite being sent a confirmation stating that my meal had already been delivered.0 -
