Lost / broken wheel nut
My car was in for a replacemnet suspension spring and mount a few weeks ago at a main dealers. The replacement mount was faulty and replaced.
A week after the replacement mount was fitted I went to make sure wheels were tight and noticed that my alloy locking wheel nut wasnt their and had been replaced by a normal nut.
I phoned the garage ( large chain )and the technician (their words) was off for a few days and they would call me back around weds / thurs of last week. They said it may have broke or been lost but until they speak with him they couldnt confirm.
I will be calling them tomorrow , howevre unsure how I should handle this.
On one hand its just a nut but on the other I wouldnt expect my car to return without a part that was their when it went in, Im also annoyed that I wasnt told at the time it had been replaced ( caps go over nuts so they are not visable ) and they havent returned call as promised. I had the nut off before it first went in and it was fine, I get the feeling they will try and say it broke, rather than admit they lost it, howevre if it broke surley they should have showed me and told me?
Should I push to have a new lock nut or set or just write it off to experience as probably not worth the hassle

Rather obvious question, but they haven't accidentally put two locking wheel nuts on one of the other wheels?0

Good point actually, but more like they couldn't find the key and "screwed" the locking nut to remove it?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
