Solicitor - best way to find a good one?

I need to ensure I have a good solicitor as I'm possibly going to buy off plan, so I need to make sure they know how to word all the clauses and get outs correctly for me - but how do you know which solicitor is a good one, it can't just be by price, and internet reviews are not particularly useful. Word of mouth? Phone some in the local area and see how much they seem to know about buying off plan? Any other ideas?

once you pay your deposit there are no get out clauses ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0

Of course there are. For example if the builder completely changes the design, or if they fail to finish the building in a reasonable timeframe etc. Those are two standard examples uses in all off plan buys, it's just a case of getting the right lawyer to word them correctly and in a way that both parties agree with.
If there were no get our clauses at all, they could just take my deposit, bank it, and not build anything! lol0
