Would i be better off not working?

If you could find a job working around the children at school or in the evenings or nights so you didn't need to pay for childcare you would be much better off even if you worked less hours. For instance I work 2 nights a week at Tesco that's 15 hours and take home over £125 a week + other perks like staff discount it's only a mile away so minimal costs to get there.
The downside is I have jeopardised my own career and now my children (and me) are getting older I'm worried I may not feel life fulfillment like I may have had I built up my career.
Depends how much you like your job and what prospects it holds for you in the future.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
thanks guys, i didnt explain myself very clearly really did i. My problem, like some have pointed out, is that by the time i have paid for the childminder and costs to get to work i dont earn a great deal. I have been looking for work closer to home that fit in with 'school hours' with very little success as i do actually enjoy working! I suppose i just wanted to check whether the pros outweighed the cons. Will just have to stick to my search for local work for now i guess.0
