Not been a good day flying wise, couple of loads of washing done and kids beds stripped. DD is to go into school tomorrow dressed in 1912 clothes but we're not to buy anything and i don't have anything suitable. :undecided:think:
Rhys is for destroying the house and i really can't wait until it's bedtime. Boys already fighting and i'm too shathered to even shout at them.
Plan now is to hide under the duvet and hope tomorrow is a better day..:(Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0

WM on, floordrobe cleared. Pesty houdini chickens put back into the pen, onions and strawberries re-planted
Lots to do, and I still have a damp smelling Snug. Think we will have to bite the bullet and put a cheap temporary carpet in.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

I'm trying to work out how to approach two lots of neighbours - one with a vast leylandii hedge that cuts out all of my morning sun, and the others (who have just moved in to a HA property) about a conifer and cherry tree that cut out my afternoon sun. Any suggestions how to approach the issue would be appreciated... i know the neighbour with the leylandii likes them ??? but they must block evening sun for at least two other neighbours. For the new neighbours I suspect that the expense so soon after moving in will be an issue - but they must lose a lot of morning/midday sun as a result.
Not sure about the leylandii person, but the HA could be easier if you contact them direct rather than the tenants and ask if they could remove the conifer. I personally would fight the loss of a cherry tree tooth and nail if I were lucky enough to have one (as they are so beautiful and provide a great habitat for lots of wildlife), but wouldn't fight so hard for a conifer. Moreover, most tenancy agreements have a clause forbidding the tenant to have tall trees, so by not doing anything, the housing association are probably forcing the tenants to already be in breach of their agreement.
I was lucky - the neighbours trying to sell up have just had a huge leylandii row chopped down and despite it being north facing, there was still a huge sense of space and light created that wasn't there before. But then the immediate neighbours decided they wanted to plant 3 golden leylandii instead. Until they grew 3 foot in the last month - went out there earlier and they have chopped one of them down already and lopped the top off the remaining two - once they start having to do that every couple of weeks, I think they'll be out as well. DD has made some progress with her room. So I won't have to murder her this week. Although there is still time......
I started on the floordrobe in my room. Now looks worse than when I started, even though I have thrown away two bags of carp and put tons of clothes away that would ordinarily be sat in piles glaring at me.
I am intending on getting some help to move my room around so that the morning sun falls onto the pillow and the storage is down the other end of the room where all the rubbish accumulates at present. Hoping it will make the room look bigger to have the bed in the far side rather than cutting it in half as it does now. Although then there is the temptation to want to get rid of the magnolia the builders toshed up halfheartedly. And then replace the curtains. And quilt cover. And get a blanket box. Oh, and some carpet would be nicer than MDF....I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll 0 0

Dogbot sounds absolutely delightful! Thanks for telling me about him.:Ahappierdaystocome wrote: »(((hugs))) to you this is rotten, I know exactley how you feel as Ive been struggling to get my sleep patterns back to normal for months now, as Ive not been going to sleep until 4 or 5am.
After visiting the hospital last week they gave me some hints, Im currently trying by having a set bed time routine. So no coffee after 6pm ( I use coffee during the day to give me energy even though it makes me sickly ) 10pm get a warm bath, No internet or TV for an hour before, so Ive been reading a chapter or so of a novel and whether tired or not in bed by 12pm, no light on and no getting out of bed. Its a bit hit and miss but Im going to give it a month and see how it goes. Ive also set my alarm to get me up of a morning to ensure that I do not sleep late and even if really tired I try really hard not to sleep during the day. ) 10pm get a warm bath, No internet or TV for an hour before, so Ive been reading a chapter or so of a novel and whether tired or not in bed by 12pm, no light on and no getting out of bed. You've had more help from the hossy than I've had, by the sound of it - all Dr did was shrug her shoulders and tell me to go to bed half an hour earlier!
I also use coffee to keep going during the day; I've finished today's pot, and won't have any more now, til tomorrow morning.
Ooh - just remembered, his pal "A" is coming round again tonight; hopefully they're going to finish installing the new loft ladder. It needs a 2nd person to lift/hold it in position while it's fixed up, and I'm not strong enough to do that. Mr LW was busy drilling holes yesterday evening (I don't know details, I left him to it and continued my quest for a walkthrough for "Mass Effect 2" on the PC.)
I hope they don't make a lot of mess - I can do without having to clean the hallway for a 2nd time this week.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Just decluttered a voucher for a facial I found yesterday (lost crimbo pressie) and now have shiny new red face! Was supposed to be relaxing but freaked a bit when the lady doing it put a hot flannel over my face and pressed it down and my instant thought was
"she's trying to kill me!" - no that relaxing then:rotfl:
Dh is off out tonight thank goodness so can get down to some serious decluttering while he's outMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

            Hi everyone,
Lamewolf, I go to the sleep clinic at Papworth hospital, they treat all sorts of sleep disorders and I know have a wide catchment. It isn't that far from MK so it might be worth trying to get a referral there for some help.
Haven't done a lot today, but I'm another smug empty ironing basket type. I had to go into Bedford to get some screws for DH and also got a lovely outifit in M&S for £5.60 for Great-neice for easter. I also did the veg shop in Lidl.
I've dusted the bedroom but it was vacuumed yesterday, I will wait till DH is ablt to help me with the sheets. I'm going to do a bit of filing now and make some dough for HM pizza for dinner.0
