Running to catch up with dorastar and AnW'sMUM"Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k. I'm trying to work out how to approach two lots of neighbours - one with a vast leylandii hedge that cuts out all of my morning sun, and the others (who have just moved in to a HA property) about a conifer and cherry tree that cut out my afternoon sun. Any suggestions how to approach the issue would be appreciated... i know the neighbour with the leylandii likes them ??? but they must block evening sun for at least two other neighbours. For the new neighbours I suspect that the expense so soon after moving in will be an issue - but they must lose a lot of morning/midday sun as a result.Spoken to guys in the garden behind ours, they are taking down the hawthorn trees and some large bits have fallen into our garden. They assure me they will tidy it all up, I am keeping an eye on them
I can't understand why they haven't removed the hawthorn before now, it is vile stuff and they have young children as well. Well at least I won't have to worry about trying to reach up to lop back all that is overhanging our side.0 -
I've spent my HHC sorting out in the LR which now looks worse than when I started as there was a pile of stuff behind the chair that I'm sorting through. I've also just blended my soup then burnt my lip and tongue testing it so they really hurt and I have no idea what my soup tastes like. Any idea how I can put water on my bottom lip? A wet paper towel isn't doing much!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4596685.stm - you would need to start by actually speaking to them, if they don't do anything then a letter (sent recorded) would probably be best and then escalate it up to the Council!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
