want to go to university, but have debts, is it possible?

Options
I am 21, and have around £10,000 worth of debt already. My current job pays £14,200 per year. However I want to go to university to do a pharmacy degree (4 year degree, 1 year in training). I would have to do an access course first (PT evenings), so I would aim to start uni in Sept 06. Is there any students etc I could get to make this happen? And does anyone know where I can get more information on things like this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I would think it will be difficult to service your existing debt and live on a student loan but without knowing rates and amounts etc it is hard to offer advice. In your position I would be working on clearing as much of this debt as possible before giving up your job. If you make a budget you will be able to see where you can make savings. Try here for Martin's budget planner. You can get advice from your local education authority about student loans depending on your circumstances you should be entitled to at least £3000 per year for the full time course. Also take a look at the debt free wannabe board where there are lots of posts from people in debt and advice to help them get out of it. Hope this helps and good luck with your plan.
