Another vanquis nightmare

Hi. I have a £500 credit limit with this company but my balance is now £529. I pay as much off as I can but the balance seems to grow. I have credit cover on this account and was wondering is there a way I could claim back any charges or even have the card cancelled??

You certainly get the card cancelled by paying them back £529 and any accrued charges.
I take it that you have a Vanquis card because nobody else will give you credit - if that is so cut the card up throw it away and never use a credit card again.
You don't say what charges you hope to reclaim but if they are in the terms and conditions of issue you don't stand much hope.
Borrow from friends and family or sell something for £30 and get the card back within its limit as soon as possible before the charges spiral out of control.

OP mentioned "I have credit cover on this account," so I'm guessing they want to claim back PPI.

The balance doesn't "seem to grow", you either continue to spend on it or ignore minimum payment advice.

You need to first acknowledge the problem is yours before starting to blame the bank.
Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”
Said Diogenes, “Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.”
