Trellis suggestions

I am thinking of putting up some trellis on a fence. The concrete posts are at maximum height for the panels but i see they do post extenders.

This will give me something to fix too. I like the look of the curved ones but my posts are not all the uniform 6ft apart and one is only about 3ft. Is there away around this as i can't even see a way of making my own due to the curves.

Also there is a gate in the line. What is the norm here. Not to put trellis over gate as this wouldn't look so good as you look along the horizon.

you dont normally put trellis on the gates.

cutting down a 6ft arch trellis to a 3ft one isnt that difficult. just make sure you cut/trim both sides equally.
    Get some gorm.

That looks good because of the tops on the posts, but that sort of look would be great. Only thing if a 6ft down to a 3ft won't the sides be too high and would show where it joins the next one?
