I don't know what's gone on, i'm not asking to know either.

I saw in the locked thread that you mentioned twitter so i'll just tell you something about twitter, private messages and MSN. They are all spawn of the devil !

They take people who post on forums from being face value people to horrid little !!!!!! stirrers who form gangs and pick pick pick at what people have said. They can take an innocent remark and turn it into something awful.

If you're going to leave something then my advice would be to leave the off board communications. Don't make the mistake of getting drawn into them, they're unhealthy and you can't always see what's really behind the text.

I talk from experience as i've been part of various forums for many years, i've ran two myself and been a moderators on others. They are all the same, they are all okay to the people who don't get dragged into the off board discussions or for those than can keep it light hearted but for those that get involved in the pick pick picking, even if it's just listening, it is very destructive.

You'll either take note or you won't, it's your decision but if comping is your hobby then comp comp comp and leave the rest behind. xxxx

Yes! By all means take a breather but do not abandon what you have created. We all have moments when we want to throw the sponge, we all have moments when we are tired of saying the same thing over and over again and doing and correcting and changing and shifting for everyone else's goodness and so for that we all appreciate that you might want to have your holidays whithout the hassle of a passport but do not leave for good. Please think that we are here because you exist.
Have a good time, put your feet up and your hands down and then when you are refreshed and feel better come back. We belong to you!

Please don't leave us completly Divadee, have a break and come back when you feel ready.
I have found that once a comper always a comper in one way or another it always welcomes you back.
Family must come first and hobbbies last.

Can fully understand Divadee wanting to give this up - have nothing but admiration for Diva and all the rest of you who run this board, it must take up so much of your time and can be pretty thankless at times I'm sure BUT just wanted to say you are really appreciated! Most of us do the competitions and only post occasionally to thank or congratulate others, it takes a very unselfish person to put the amount of time and effort into this that you lot do voluntarily. So thank you!

Like others, I hope you only take a break (and a much needed rest from it) but come back when you feel ready again!

I can't agree enough with lizd31, similar to Liz myself and husband have had health problems, and this forum for myself and many others has made it possible to win prizes, i myself could not have aforded, also to go on nights away with my husband, or the experiences, which no money can buy, i have only been entering from this forum since last August, but have found such kindness amongst virtual strangers, and would like to thank Divadee, and hope she reconsiders, thank you so much to yourself and all the others who do so much...

I've missed something, as I have no idea what's behind this but I will say I'll be surprised if this forum is open for much longer. People winding each other up, arguments about "is this a weekly/daily etc"- the spirit of the compers has gone.
