Hi, I have sold a genuine designer shirt on ebay. the buyer has said its obviously fake and sick of people like me. said if i don't refund the money he will take it further.
i am tempted just to refund and get him off my case but on the other hand its genuine -i don't have proof of purchase and i feel that if i refund him it looks like i was selling fake goods.
i have 100% positive feedback and he has 99.2%. Can he have me thrown off ebay just on his say so?
Please help - i'm really worried.
Thank you

Just let him know you have all the official receipts which show your items are authentic. You can also emphasis we can take the case to eBay and also you will have your solicitors ready for what he/she has accused you as you will claim all necessary losses for your future businesses (if you have all hard copies evidence)0

Hi thanks - the thing is i don't have a receipt for it. I bought it abroad from a designer shop a few years ago.0

Might have to bluff it. He may well have a fak/replica of the same shirt he bought then intends to use his original fake to submit for testing, if he takes it further. Your only hope is if you took detailed photos of the shirt and then call his bluff, if anything goes further, hope there's slight differences in the shirts (assuming that's the case).
Also, what alien above said, he wants to play hard ball, give it straight back to him, 9/10 times he will just back off and shut up.
This is of course, assuming, you are indeed, telling the truth yourself0 -
Hi - yes definitely telling the truth - the item is genuine. he sounds a bit of a bully - so thanks - yes will give it him right back0

Sounds like he is trying to get it for free by threatening you. Tell him to return it for a full refund. He doesn't have 100% postive feedback so must be a seller - check what they are selling, is it similar stuff?0

Also if this goes to an ebay claim you will have to prove it is genuine or else ebay will force a refund. If buyer tries a paypal case then he will have to prove it is a fake to win.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I bought a jumper on eBay, and when it arrived it was patently fake (I have a number of items from the same manufacturer, mostly bought from their official outlets, and there were many obvious differences.)
The seller insists that they originally bought it from an authorised outlet while on holiday in Florida. Unfortunately a lot of holiday resorts are full of shops selling fake/replica clothing. It's very easy to put a "designer" label on a cheap generic garment, and then charge a high price for it.
In my case, the seller has agreed to refund on return of the item, but I am out of pocket for the cost of the (tracked) postage to return it. I'm still deciding what feedback to leave.Philip0 -

If sellers do not offer return postage reimbursement for poor/fake/damaged goods then a positive is not appropriate.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi - thanks for all your replies. I bought it from an official selling shop that sells these particular named items. It wasn't an outlet etc but a genuine boutique. The country where i bought this is the homeland of where these are made. For what i paid for it and all the official tags/wrapping/bag etc - i just know its genuine.0
