Off to get the sticky......................

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Sunday 10 April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

[COLOR="rgb(65, 105, 225)"]When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

Good Morning Everyone

Beautiful sunshine here again today and think it is meant to be warm :j

Yesterday was nice but we had a chilly breeze, still can't complain for this time of year though.

Not sure what today's plans are. OH is working in the garden this morning I will potter around. Both kids would like to go to ChinaTown later - we just need to persuade OH.

Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are doing.x

Hmm don't know what has gone on with my editing this morning.......think I need more coffee to wake up!

Morning Essex girl and all who follow,

Lovely day again here today, although doesn't look as sunny as yesterday. OH still in bed - seems like he has a headache or something AGAIN - am fed up with his head! Am taking the children to my Mums today and we're all going to have a walk around Bolton Abbey. I'll take a picnic and the children can run riot in the fields and woods. Hopefully I'll bring them home tired. OH has a few more hours of work today which is great as he's not worked so far this month and whilst watching the adverts all the children say is "Can we have that Mum?"

Found this http://www.pizzaexpress-offers.co.uk/ 2 courses for £10 - which might help make the holidays pass cheaper. Probably have washing to be done today, but as I did LOADS yesterday today I'm having a day off - as much as you can when you have two young children. Going to ask FIL about visiting during the Easter Hols! Have a good day all x
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Morning Essex Girl and esmf, and all to follow.

Looks like another lovely day here today, it was a scorcher yesterday. I am going to get stuck in to the housework shortly, and then spend the rest of the day sorting out the gardens, I need to get quite a bit of weeding done and I bought some seeds yesterday for poppies and sqweet peas which need to go in. I want to go to Aldi too, and see if they have any azaleas left. I doubt it, but you never know....

Weighed in this morning, 2lbs off again, which was a nice surprise as I am feeling bloated with TOTM, OH is not in a good mood this morning again, he took ages to fall asleep last night, I think he's feeling very stressed with money, and his mother, and various other things, so I will need to tread carefully as he won't talk about it until it overwhelms him :(

Well, I am off for a browse then to sort out some breakfast.

    Have a good day everyone,

Hugs and Spoons and Hi fives too.

Morning everyone - another slightly great day here! I've been up since 6.00a.m. and now heading for the shower. We're off out for the day and hope to end up further south on the east coast - Whitby perhaps? :j

Dishwasher empty, washing machine empty and tummies full of breakfast!

I'm away most of next week, from Tuesday to Friday, so have loaded the Kindle with something to read whilst in the hotel though we are having a little night out when I'm down there.

I hope that everyone has a good Sunday, whatever the weather!

    Morning everyone.

Its not often that I post so early at the weekend!!

Another lovely day here on the Lancashire coast - the town was full of visitors yesterday, first really busy day of the year, hope it keeps up!

We're off to price up our choice of new bathroom suite first thing, then driving down to my old home town in Cheshire to do a fave walk along the Bridgewater canal and Trans Pennine footpath. May have to go for a beer in one of the several pubs before coming home too!

Not much OS going on, although we ate out of the freezer last night and will do again tonight. Will make packed lunch when have washed up and put WM on. DH is only home tomorrow night, then back on Friday so will be able to eat the single left-over meals from the freezer this week! Just hope the weather isn't too warm as its things like mince with a dumpling or beef casserole!

Work should start to settle down soon, all the staffing cuts have been made now and we just have the local elections and the possibility of a change in council control to deal with, then we can all get on with our jobs.

JO - so pleased you had a good holiday
HH - well done to The Minder, he's obviously found his niche!
Dazi - Well done on your outfit, it sounds lovely and a real bargain!

Hugs to those who would like one,
    Love Floss xx

I too am more awake than I wanted to be! DD stayed at a friends last night, DH has got up early to go car-booting. I am just enjoying a bit of peace and quiet with a cuppa, then will hang a load of washing out, next load is already in - Where does it all come from, seriously there are 3 of us and some days I am doing 2 loads... might have to instigate the sniff test! Then I shall do some more ironing, to keep the pile under control.

made bread yesterday for the first time in ages, so nice and so easy too. You lot have really inspired me!

We went out for a bottle of wine and tapas last night, DH thought we deserved a treat, it was really lovely sitting there people watching and gossiping - just like a date!!

Hope the sun is shining where you are, have a good day all

Lovely & sunny here again today, we've had a potter in the garden, had breakfast & now hubby's watching TV waiting for the GP to start.
We've been chatting about the gift vouchers, we will probably spend them on the garden as there are things we want but can't afford.
    Rubber chicken for dinner today.
    Have a good day everyone.
