On the way back from my appointment I wondered around looking for Christmas cards (no luck - i like penguins and polarbears and stars - but don't like christmas cards to be too *cold*. Gee, i'm fussy).

Went to Lidl, as i've tried it once before and hated it - but everyone on here sings it's praises, so attempted again. Got some brilliant bargains (like 12 rolls for 25p!) but it's a horrid place. Think it's just my SW London local one :( They do sell ridiculously cheap spices though, think I will do a top up next week. And Walkers Crisps! 24 for £1.69! That's cheap. OK, maybe I liked it more than I thought. Mmm..
  • £1.50 bus fare
£2.98 in charity shop for some books (xmas pressies) and a casual bag for 99p for me. Which I am pleased about as I had seen something similar for £5 and was tempted to go back and get it.

99p...fiver....99p....fiver....hmmmm I know which one is more MSE! (Well ok not buying it at all would have been immeasurably MSE...!)

Uh-oh, total spend this week £13.98 out of £20. Blimey if I stay on budget it will be a miracle.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
60p on a kit kat for me and a Twirl bar for my sister (she "walked" her old sis to the shop lol), not planning anything else today.
I got paid today and still had £56 in my account (which is usually overdrawn by about £250 on the day before pay day) so I'm just working out how much to pay off First Direct & then make an overpayment on Mint which I do every month anyway, will update tonight or tomorrow. :j

I'm so glad I found this site & have learnt how much interest I've ended up paying through "debt" cards!! I'm teaching my sisters the value of money & the evil that is cc's and loans if not MSE aware!!:rotfl:

  • Yesterday was nsd but today its all going wrong.

I was called into work but we didnt have any bread, and teh buns in the freezer were stuck together so had to buy sandwiches £1.48!!!!!

then my tights kept falling sown at work, but not satifsied with aiming for my knees on their own they decided to take my knickers as well so after a very uncomfortable morning with year 8 I decided to buy tights - another £1.50

then to top it all off - our tv gave up the ghost last night and OH and I are going to buy another tonight ( cheapo form asda as still not at all solvent), so expeciting to pay about £200 - we need wide screen/large screen as OH is blind in one eye.

    damn

Well its pay day tomorrow and I am £2.92 in credit :j Given that I am normally around £1500 overdrawn at pay day I am very happy :T I am planning on a NSD today as I don't need anything.

    Have a good day everyone.

I ahve always been at the bottom of my £1500 OD, this month I will be about £1250 just before payday, so I am getting there, but it is great to know that it can be done.

    Well done!
