Well, I spent £1.25 on bread, and £7.25 on fruit and 2 packs (bogof) of cheese.
Will also need to spend £2 on school christmas play tickets!
However, I also spent nearly 20 quid, but am really chuffed about it.
For just over 11 quid in the first charity shop I went into I got -
3 x videos - one each for the 3 girls
2 x pc learning games - one each for the 2 older girls
1 x interactive dvd thing - for youngest dd
1 x golf lovers gift set - book of funny quotes, lovely illustrated score keeping book with quotes all in a lovely gift pack done up with ribbon - prezzie for dh.
I'm stoked because we're buying bikes for the 2 eldest girls which we've really had to do some serious scrimping (and serious shifts at the pub from me) to afford, and we can't really afford anything else, but now they've got a couple of little things to open too
Also went into the other charity shop and got one of those all in one tea mug and pot sets in the shape of a cat for my cat mad Auntie whose b'day is just after chrimbo - £8.50 bnib. Excellent
So, my spend for this week has gone over already (30.50 today), but I'm actually kinda pleased about it
Spend planned - £30

hey moozie!! glad to see you back :j :j (though imelda did a sterling job standing in :T :T). Wierd you couldn't log on
?? I thought maybe you weren't with us because you'd decided to carry out your threat of packing your man in a big box and sending him to China or something. Anyway, I am being treated to dinner tonight (hurrah!!) :j :j :j but have bought some wine to go with the meal (£10.48). That puts me close to my budget limit so I'll have to be good on thurs & fri!! but I am sitting here eating a yummy pie made from leftovers, even made the pastry to save money (it didn't puff like it was meant to sadly!!!
but tastes nice). Much nicer than the soggy sandwiches in the work cafe and I know what went into it too :A 0 -

Just back from town and have spent a fair bit but have been budgeting:
Eye test - free with nectar voucher
Glasses for moi - £149
Glasses for OH - £169 needs 2 pairs with different lenses so got them from Boots BOGOF
Starbucks - £5.60 I know but it was very cold out!
OH's glasses should only have been £149 but I left him before he paid and he paid another £20 for anti-glare lenses. I was really annoyed as I think it is a waste and let him know in no uncertain terms. I made him feel so bad he went straight into the loft got some old mobile phones he has been hanging onto and left to go back into town to sell them. Now do I have another go at him when he gets home and berate him for not using the environfone website to send them?:think:Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
Thank Moozie. I can't claim credit for this one though, it's an Alvin Hall quote. :rotfl:moozie wrote:
