How much should i offer?
hi,
i was wondering as a bargain hunter LOL if i should try and lower the price of a car at a dealership?
i have seen a nice Citroen C3 at £4.5 k and was wondering if it would be worth trying to bargain the price (never done it before).
just wondering if anyone has done this before?
thanks

There is no such thing as a "nice C3",go and buy something else.Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.
Got a huge Buzz out of it.0 -
that last comment wansnt very constructive
anyway it is part of the buying process to barter the price.
It depends if you are p/x and the value they offered for that as they often play that if they give you more on your car they cant give or give less discount on the car your are buying and viceversa. If you are paying cash it might in some cases be easier to barter the price.
You are in control of the purchase and dont feel pressurized in anything0 -
you'd get something more nornal and less noddy looking for your money if you looked at stuff like Ford/Vauxhall and VAG products.
The people who buy the C3 are generally the ones who see the process of dying as something to do in life.0 -

The worse they can say is no to your offers, don't take the mick though. Worth going for maybe £3.8k/£3.9k and see what they come back with. What is pi? Where did it come from?0

If you have that money to spend on a car, don't buy a C3. They are crap. They are trimmed with flimsy plastics, and the build quality is not good.
Shop around for something else, but remember, you are the customer. Take your time and do some research. Whatcar's website is a good starting point.0 -
Shop around first to see what other prices are out there and make an offer accordingly, they can only say no. Pointless using the 'im paying cash' tactic anymore as garages make more money if they sell you the car on finance.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

£4.5k for a C3, is it preregistered with delevery mileage.
That is sadly the only C3 I would buy for £4.5k
There are many better cars out there.
My wifes Clio has been a good buy.
There are lots at Independant dealers for your £4.5
And all will negotiate a few quid off, start at £4k or so as already suggested, the worst he can say is no.
My mum and dad bought a petrol 207 during the scrappage scheme and they really rate it.0 -
Look on autotrader and see what other dealers are asking for similar cars, then go from there.0

Have you checked the interior of a Toyota ("We're so committed to quality") recently? It could also describe lots of other modern cars too!0
