back dated DLA what about other benifits

hi all did not know where to put this
something i have been wondering for a while

my DD tribunral is on the 27th the welfare rights woman is sure it will be overturned im not relying on her thoughts but what happens with the back pay?

it will have been 1 year and 1 day since the last DLA ran out
will this be back paid for a whole year?

also i was in recipt of a higher rate of CTC and HB will this be back dated to?

if it is how do i go about it, will there be forms i have to ask for?

thanks, i just want to be prepared if she wins

Your daughter isnt a child in education anymore and she isnt under the connextions catagory for people in her age group either so you cant claim CTC.

she was still in school last april and went on to college, she left that particular course officially in the november/december and started something else in march so she only had 4 months out, my CB and CTC have been reinstated

    she is only 17
  • also for the months she was not in education i would have recieved more HB

the only reason that i think you have come to this conclusion is that you have not seen any of my post's lately saying she had returned in to education, which is understandable

If shes ok now to return to education she must have improved MH wise so that she shouldnt need DLA.

Things are very diffrent for physical and MH issues and education and people with MH difficulties cant attend and work at colledge and expect to recieve HRC or MRC.

i see what you are saying but she has not returned to the same place doing what she was, its something very different there are only a dozen or so students they know all about her condition and give her an enormous amount of support, she is only re-sitting some gcse's at the moment and will if she can do more next year, i never said she was now entitled to HRC or MRC she is still taken to and from the place, and has a friend who is also on the same course which helps alot

also this claim is from last april when she was in a far worse state than she is now, the new medication has helped alot but there still is a long way to go

i disagree with you though in saing people with MH can not attend college she was in recipt of DLA whilst at school and at college last time and the DLA were allways kept up to date with any changes, she left the last course as she found it to much and her meds were not right
