Ford Focus Isofix

I just wanted to share my experiences in case anyone is looking into this. We recently bought an 07 focus without Isofix. After being quoted ridiculous prices (£140+) I did some research and I found out that you can buy the Isofix brackets for £17 each from Ford dealers and it is then a simple case of screwing them into the pre existing holes that you can find in the gap between the seat base and seat back.

They have rubber stoppers in them which you have to take out (they tend to come out in bits as they are wedged in), you then need a T50 Torx screwdriver or spanner (star shaped ones) to screw in the bracket.

So easy to do and definitely not worth being ripped off for. Apparently it was a free option when buying Ford's new but they didn't do it as standard so people just didn't bother.

Good luck.
