i love your post and are glad to see that you are turning things around.
i notice you have dabbled in matched betting.
if you use a site like freebets4all they tell you how to set all the bets up all about wagering requiremets so as long as you double check before you place the bets it really is risk free.
also look at quidco for earning extra cash, shop online for teaco/sainsburys and get the £10 or £15 of weekly shop for new customers.0 -

Well, nothing started as yet although have received lots of good ideas here. Think I definitely need to stick to making small amounts from a range of sources rather than trying to find something that's going to make me a larger fixed amount every month.
Think the top of my list is the carboot stuff - I would love to develop an eye for some good bargains and be able to regularly sell on and make a nice wee profit (I believe some books can be a good start).
And I think I'm going to have to have a good read through all the matched betting stuff. So far I've only read about using free bets which is putting me off as they're usually just for new customers so it sounds like it's going to be a one time thing. I got really into trading bets on Betfair a couple of years ago and was interesting in backing/laying and arbitrage (although never found any arbs).
Will definitely keep this updated with how I'm getting on and if I come across any more ideas on some regular income sources!
Thanks to everyone for their input! x0 -

Thanks for the freebets4all tip...will have a good read through it this week and hopefully give it a proper go at the weekend.
I registered with Quidco and have just over £50 in the account so far (set the withdrawl at £100 so it was a nice lump sum every so often). I don't really spend much on food shopping - I either go shopping with my Mum who'll buy me the odd couple of meals or I get some stuff in the reduced section to freeze. I always shop in Sainsburys though and make the most of my Nectar points.
Thanks for the tips and I'll let you know how I get on with the matched betting.

Well...just thought I'd update you all. I gave the matched betting a go - was quite easy once I'd fully understood what I was doing. As I only had a £50 deposit in my Betfair account and didn't really want to put more in, my potential winnings were always going to be a bit lower than what they could be. So from using 1 free £10 bet from Totesport, I should have made a profit of £4.21. The bets are on football matches for tomorrow evening so should be able to double check the calculations when I'm home.
I guess once I've got the hang of this, I could easily be on my way to the £10 a day target - hopefully can stick to weekends only and if I could aim for maybe £30 Sat and Sun, I'd be happy! Although, I'm wondering what happens when you are already registered on all the sites? I've got 2 bank account I will use so I guess I could register twice then probably start getting other bank accounts I suppose! It's all very exciting!0 -
I am trying to look at things now too."Life is too short to worry about life being too short"0
