I have to agree - Carrera bikes offer very good value with the components often being better specd than bikes that sell for a lot more - they usually do well in the reviews as well. Halfords sell around 1 in 3 bikes in the UK so their buying power will be much better than a local bike shop.

Carrera bikes might not go down well with bike snobs but that does mean they are cheaper. I'm quite happy with my carrera road bike I use for work - it cost peanuts but has taken a lot of abuse and still runs smoothly.
