Propagator vents - open or closed?
I'm using a propagator for the first time this year, but I'm not sure what I'm meant to do with the vents on the lid.
For my first seedlings I left the vents closed all the time, but what should I be doing?
Should the vents be open during the day and closed at night, or always closed, or always open?
Thanks in advance.

I close mine when I put seeds in and open up as soon as I see any sign of life. Lid off as soon as possible There is nothing worse for seedlings than being stewed. You need to do all you can to avoid damping off. Mine are all outside within a day or so of germinating0

Likewise, once up open vents, turn off heating [if heated propagator] & take lid off a few days laterEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Many thanks. Makes total sense now.0
