Problem regarding email being hacked & paypal

Hi there...
To cut a long story short - I haven't done the 'Ebay' thing since last summer, and now I have a load of summer clothes that no longer fit me that I need to Ebay. However, last year my email was hacked and I can no longer get in to it... because I haven't used Paypal/Ebay for so long, I've forgotten my password, so even if I have it re-sent I cannot get in to the email.
I would just set up a new Paypal account but as my one and only debit card is linked to the old account, I can't use my Barclay card.. and here's the problem, because I managed to batter my credit rating last year (long story, mental health problems and other mess), I'm even being rejected for basic current accounts until the credit rating's improved, but it's a catch 22 situation because I need to sell stuff on Ebay to help pay off the £300 debt I owe!
Any ideas much appreciated, feel like I'm running round in circles!

There should be a way to unhack your email account, all you have to do is contact your email provider, then get your password sent to it.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

I tried to do that but the person that hacked it has changed the alternative email and everything, part of their e-mail is starred out though. Eeeek.0

Who is that email account with? If you contact customer service direct, they might be able to help out more than the automated routes canWe have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

Before you get started again on ebay I would be more concerned about sorting out the hack on the email. If theystill have access to your old paypal or ebay account they could be running amok with it.
Also, you do need to get into your old paypal account as you are only allowed one paypal account of each type, if caught with two you will face issues.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
