How many selling accounts can you have?

My daughter and OH wish to open up their own ebay accounts and I was wondering how many are you allowed to have because they will be using the same bank card I've registered on ebay and obviously the same address?

Thanks

Hello, seem to remember seeing somewhere in Ebay's help pages (although I can't find it now) that you can verify up to eight accounts on one credit card but only two accounts on a debit card.

I have not come across those terms but then I find ebay 'help' so confusing there is a lot I have never seen.

It used to be one card per account so OP all you can do it try and see what happens.

    I per account.

I tried to register both OH and I's separate Paypal accounts on the same bank account and it wouldn't let me. "This bank account is currently in use by another Paypal account holder"

4 Paypal accounts in this house, 4 bank accounts needed for them.

With paypal it is definitely one card per account but that is not a problem as 8 email addresses (so 8 ebay accounts) can be linked to a single paypal account. However I read the OP as asking whether they can use the same card on different ebay accounts, and that I am not sure about.

ah yes, you read ebay as it says ebay.

I read ebay and saw Paypal as my head was still annoyed with them for the length of time it has taken them to finally verify my micro account. :o

Some of us have real issues with getting a micro account, I am one of them. I started trying some years ago, and only finally got one last year as I just kept giving up. Other people sign up and change it across in days, lucky people!

I love my micro account though , saves me a fortune.

The important thing is that each eBay seller's account has a different email address, then you need to add the new email addresses to your joint PayPal account. This way the different eBay accounts are connected to the same bank account. (This is the cheap and nasty solution.)

The only downside I can see is that if any one of your multiple, associated accounts is limited or has a dispute then all them will be affected.

The better solution would be to suggest that your daughter and OH use their own bank accounts or open them if they don't already have one available. They then link their bank accounts to their own separate PayPal account. Also make sure you don't transfer amounts between your PayPal accounts as this can have disastrous repercussions years later should any of the accounts be limited, scammed or hacked. Makes for fewer tears and less hair-pulling later on in my experience...

    Hope this helps :-)

I could use one CC to activate 4 ebay selling accounts just before Christmas last year but they all have to stay clean as once one goes down the others will follow. This shappened to me with two of these (same credit card, a different one), they've been limited overnight even if the issue was on only one of them. I thought CC payment were handled outside ebay...
