wiping credit card debt clean

Hi
I've been contacted recently by a company called Consortium Reclaim advising me I may be able to wipe my credit card debts. I have a Barclaycard which is pre 97, though this was changed to a platinum by then a couple of years ago, no new agreement was signed though. They have advised I could transfer balances to this card and possibly clear my debt, they would charge £495 + 10% +vat. has any one heard of these or done anything like this?

Don't pay it.
Do it yourself with the help of free sites like this.
If your case is valid you will have saved £500+, if your case isn't valid you will lose nothing.

You almost certainly won't get your money back if it proves you haven't got a case.
They can't possibly know.

Apart from which, why should people who pay off their own debts pay yours off as well ???

Search the internet for "Cartel Client Review" "Ministry of Justice" and see what usually happens to this sort of company and their clients.
