Tips for socks that are beyond help......................cut across the foot bit so you have the toe part......fill with cat-litter and secure with elastic band, place in smelly shoes and smell will go.
or
fill with pot-pourri and put in draws/cupboards to make them smell nice.
Got those tips off the tv this morning but can't remember the rest:D0 -
I have small feet (size three) and so buy kids socks. The best ones I have are tesco's boys black ankle socks, which come in pack of 5 pairs. I am afraid I can't rememebr how much they cost, but it wasn't much.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0

I bought my husband a pack of 5 pairs of black socks from Asda for about £4. They have lasted for ages, as opposed to the ones his Mother always buys him for Christmas from M&S which have all but disintegrated by June.
The best bit about 5 identical pairs is that you don't have to faff about pairing them up properly after they've been washed!0 -
I buy children's socks and trainers for myself, works out much cheaper because you don't pay VAT.
I used to work in a school and the kids noticed that my Clarks trainers were the same as one of the boys was wearing - poor lad nearly died of embarrassment because Miss had the same trainers!
Best buy so far has been a pack of M&S boys sports socks. My son had the use of them when they fit him, now they've returned to my sock drawer and they're still going strong. Bargain!0
