in Credit cards
hello i looking for abit of advice please
Im Off to florida in May but have been told if i want to get a hire car i have to have a credit card which i dont have. I have always paid upfront for what ever i want. I have already paid for my flights and villa for the trip but i have a small issue with the hire car.
all i need the credit card for is the holding/security deposit for the car. Im paying in full for the car just i cant use my debit card for the security bit. Not knowing alot about credit cards i have no idea what im looking for could anyone give me any advice pls.
i have good credit score and know i wont have a problem getting a credit card. Im a 26 year old male and have a personal and business account with natwest.
thanks for any advice jay

First try NatWest. They know how you run your other accounts so are in the best position to judge your financial ability. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Agree with trying natwest - I bank with them, and had no problem getting their platinum and classic cards yesterday (2 cards to cover one big balance transfer ) . Although this isn't the most competitive of cards - it builds a good relationship/ bank score.
Always approach your bank first - they hold internal banks scores, which could sway any decision.
Platinum currently offers 0% on purchases for 3 months so providing you pay your balance off within 3 months ( whilst meeting the min monthly payments ) it will be a free loan.
There are many cards on the market that offer 16 month + on purchases, however if you only need it for protection I would stick with your bank0 -
