Driving me crazy..

I have no idea how to stop this.

I have a 12 y/o rescue Shih Tzu, only had her a few months but she is just wonderful, my little shadow. When she doesn't want cat love anyway.

Next door has a Husky, lovely dog, doesn't get enough walks imo, but that's beside the point.

With the benefit of fence between them, Bonnie feels like the tough dog, and scratches at the fence and barks her "proper" bark constantly. Presumably to frighten the four times the size of a shih tzu dog away.. Asker (Husky) never barks back, sniffs a bit through the fence but generally just wanders back to dog house [STRIKE]in terror[/STRIKE] in disdain.

Bonnie barking, however, is driving me crazy. She gets told to come away, which she does, but as soon as I'm out of sight, she's back out there, sniffing, scratching and barking.

Even my 4 year old got fed up with it earlier and told Bonnie to go to the naughty step for 12 minutes (he gets a minute per year, so did the maths) .. actually, she did go to the step, bless her, sort of sat there, just accidentally fell asleep as well.

Is there any way to stop her barking? Would a proper intro to the other dog help?

lol, bless her! would treats work when you call her and she comes away?

Meeting her "friend" may well help as she will then know who is next door!
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind.
They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.
