hi all
i downloaded the above program from their website
http://www.outlook-express-email-backup.com/windows-mail-backup/
it backed all my mail and settings, with a file ending of wmb.
i then reformatted my vista machine
the problem is when i come to restore the file, it wants me to register and pay the $ 39.99 dollars.
i was under the impression from the website that i would be able to use the full features for a limited time, but obviously i got it wrong
"We offer free trial versions with a time limitation, with which you can ensure your satisfaction and system compatibility before you buy (All exe files have installer and uninstaller included)."
is the a free program that would be able to restore this files or another way around, or do i need to pay for the program,
many thanks

You need to pay for the programme as it uses a custom file type.
Worst part in this is that Vista already comes with a tool to do this for you...File and Settings Transfer0 -

which email service do you use (hotmail, gmail ect.)? and is the email on the server? if it is you can just re-add the email from the server, if it isn't on the server anymore then as the magic 8-ball says 'Outlook does not look good'0
