My mother has recently transferred her bank account to a NatWest Current Plus account.

She has a new debit card (NatWest Visa) but on taking it into her local post office she has been informed that she cannot use it to withdraw money over the counter.

I checked with my local post office - same response.

I checked with NatWest - they say that their Visa Direct Debit card CAN be used to withdraw money over the post office counter!

So who's wrong? Who's right?

This is very annoying as I recommended that my mother transfer to NatWest as I was told the same thing by them a few months ago, and now she's being told otherwise by the p.o.

Help?

Thanks
