Nectar Bonus Points On Joining AA
Options
Has anyone tried to join the AA via Nectar .
I did yesterday and the AA website kept asking me for a Bonus Points Offer Code to get 2000 Nectar Points .I called Nectar and they said to call the AA who said they did not have a code and referred me back to Nectar who repeated what they said
previously .As the AA website would not allow me past this point without me putting in a code I gave up .
This morning I got a telephone call from the AA re my online application ( possibley foreign based lady) who could not guarantee that I would get these Bonus Points until she completed the policy depite me telling her what service I wanted and I was not going to agree to the policy until I knew I was getting the points . In the end I did not proceed .
I decided instead to go via Topcashback to get a £21 Cashback off the £72 fee.
Anyone experienced this?
EDIT
Since posting had unhelpful reply from Nectar blaming the AA..the fact the Nectar and AA websites are linked to this offer seems to have escaped them .The AA also replied giving me a code WP13..pity when I phoned them their Rep couldn't give me it . I've cheekily given them my Nectar card number and suggested they might like to do something .
