Why can't all applications be like this?

Though I'd be different and highlight the excellent service by Barclays in opening my new ISA.
I did the process online.
Logged into my account, I'd previously had a regular saver which I'd managed online.
Selected the 'Open Golden ISA - Issue 3'.
After confirming my current details as correct, the only new information that was requested was my National Insurance number.
I was asked if I wanted to transfer any balance from my other account (which was zero), and the account was open.
I then logged into my LloydsTSB account and transferred from three different current accounts £2,000, £2,000 and £1,340. My LloydsTSB account informed me all three transfers were being transferred by fast payment.
Logged back into my Barclays account and the money was already there.
So from start of application to getting the money into the account, all of ten minutes.
(I applied to the Nationwide on Wednesday for an account to transfer my existing ISA into and still haven't had notification of the account details.)

I opened a Halifax Web Saver Reward on Saturday morning.
It took 48 seconds from start to finish, including funding from an existing Halifax account.0 -

Took me about the same time - funds from Barclays current account to their Golden ISA3.
Waiting on the transfer of Barclays Golden ISA and Golden ISA2 to be transferred to Nationwide E-ISA.
Wonder how long that will take?0 -
The good thing is that it doesn't matter, as Nationwide will backdate the interest to when they received your application to transfer.Took me about the same time - funds from Barclays current account to their Golden ISA3.
