Have sent my renewal offer nearly a month in advance.
It's cheaper than an on-line quote with them, as my ncd includes a second year bonus up to 71%
It's only £6 dearer than last year.
The autorenew is correct to their t&c's, mine won't autorenew as I'm not paying by direct debits, I actually have to phone to renew.
Not protected ncd, but 1 claim in the year will only take me from 71% to 65%
Bad points
There have been a few increases to the excesses,
windscreen is up to £100,
there's an extra £200 excess for using my own repairer, administration fees are up, duty of disclosure now included immediate disclosure of offences,
driving other cars is still covered, but they must have their own insurance as well now,
recycled parts can be used for repair,
must have a valid mot (?)
tyres and tinted windows must be legal (?)
But it's all in easy readable type, all cross referred so I can't miss it.
Good result for them.
(It's a shame I won't be using them, as I've found another company with better t&c's as last year, and it's £20 cheaper, so my insurance will actually be down 10% this year as a bonus - CSIS.
And I'll make it clear, I'm moving for the t&c's, if they were the same, I'd be staying. Windscreen and driving other cars are two of the few things I've ever used.)
Not like the renewals from my house insurance, and my other car insurer recently. So if one can do it, why can't they all?

No.
But having said that, it's slowly becoming more common, and the need for insurance or sorning will render it immaterial soon anyway.
CSIS don't have the need for other insurance on a car.0 -
I always thought it was - I'm just 25 though so only had driving other cars from my current policy0

OK. But surely if it wasn't in readable type then a normal human being would ask for insurer for a large print copy, which they would be more than happy to supply, rather than just not read it?!!0
