Hello,
I would really appricate some advice..
i set up hastings direct car insurance on line i am sure they said the Direct Debit would come out on the 1st.
it didnt it came out on the 15th and was rejected.
i have been working away and didnt know until this morning when hastings direct has said they cancelled the policy i called them and said there was an error and i am willing to pay the missed payment and carry on but they refused saying i need to pay the 65 cancellation fee under 86e of the consumer credit act.
i need to know can they do this and do i have anything on myside.
