Telewest Broadband

I have been an excellent customer of Telewest for over 6 years now, I subscribe to their digital tv, telephone and broadband services and have always paid in full every month by direct debit.
I read on their website about their new tv drive system, similar to sky plus where you can record programmes while you watch others etc.
My teeth began to grind however, when I read that installation was free to new customers, while there is a £75 charge to install the system for existing customers (sound of tooth enamel chipping and splintering)
I telephoned the customer service department to voice my objections about the system and asked to speak to a senior staff member about it.
To cut a long story short, they eventually offered to reduce the installation charge to half price 'as a goodwill gesture' (we all love that old gem don't we?)
I find it very frustrating and ridiculous that these offers are only for new customers, that just says to me..."We've already got your cash mate so stuff you!"
Any Big shots from companies out there reading this, TAKE NOTE!!!!!!!!!!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

It's simply because they know they can get away wih it. The loss of a few customers makes no difference to them - there will always be others to take the place of lost customers, and there will be no mass abandonment by customers at all because people just do not do that sort of thing. Their "customer service" department is just a mask of politeness to disguise their true attitude to customers: "we have your money, now F*@# OFF!"Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0 -
i know ppl who have cancelled their connection with sky, and a few weeks later taken out a new connection in spouses name to get sky+ on the cheap.
Its crazy they should offer better discounts for long term customers, maybe special offers for limited times where people can upgrade. If u miss it then you have to wait or something. ANYTHING to even out how they treat customers!0
