Moving From Company Car - Help Please

Options
I am changing jobs in the next month and am moving from a company car to private ownership. This would be straightforward enough but I had a serious crash earlier this year (about 4000 damage) that was paid through the company insurance. Crash was my fault.

Do I need to tell my private insurer about this? Technically I have never made a claim as this was done through the works insurance.

Could anyone realistically ever find out if I did not tell my new insurer of this incident?

Thanks in advance.

yes as the question is about if you have had an accident... it will also be marked against your name on the underwriting exchange

  • yes,

Its based on you the driver not the policy.

If you dont declare it and have a bump it could invalidate your policy
