This thread was aimed at people already working as an adult chat worker, hence the title adult phone work!!!!

Unfortunately 'this thread' is on the employment section of a public forum therefore you should not be surprised when you get responses from people who do not work in the sex industry - let's not beat about the bush here (no pun intended) an 'adult chat worker' is employed in a sex orientated industry.

With a thread titled 'Adult Phone Work' - it is fair to assume that such a title will attract curiosity.
You probably just haven't had sex in a while so your all uptight maybe you need to talk to one of the adult chat lines to offload!

Hardly helping your cause with that comment.

Adult phone work may be in a sex orientated industry, but basically it is an acting job. You switch off from your own life and take on the persona of someone else, you become another person. I did it for a short while, for a company based in Northampton, it didn't pay very well so I dropped it. I felt safe, there was no way the punters could find out my true identity. Sorry, I don't know Kiss Tel.

Its still entirely possible the company might use the photo O.P. sent in on their website - but I guess O.P. will find out if they have done so if she wonders why her children are getting bullied at school and they say its to do with the job their mother does (at which point - she'd know the photo HAD been used - and someone had recognised her).

if your worried about you first call, give me your number (no, not the chat line number) and you can practice on me :j:rotfl::T

I knew someone who did it, she had a cushion with a zip . . this was apparently some item of clothing she was unzipping . . . haha love it!

Good luck with whatever you do . . and take care.

the usual reason such companies ask for a pic is as a belt and braces check that you are over 18

and what exactly would children be viewing such a site for?

It is quite common for companies to ask for a photo to be attached to a cv when applying for jobs online.

To clarify - I dont think ANY of us are in any way at all "judging" - just sounding a note of caution about the chances of your photo being "broadcast" and what the work itself might involve.

Your call totally on this....and my own comments on barwork/cleaning/callcentre work were purely and simply to make the point that you might find easier/safer ways to make some extra income.

    :rotfl:

    You were judging.

Its there in black & white

youll be fine - its not the best of jobs sometimes - but then what is? your completely safe and in your own home - so what have you to lose - if you try it and its really not for you - then back to the drawing board. youll be amazed how many men are just happy to chat - and if i get people that are into things that i am not then i say that its not my thing lol - but im happy to learn about it so they then talk about it to me - lol easy work - paid to listen! - first time i had a couple of glasses of wine - relaxed n just went for it - getting the first one out of the way is the hard bit - keep a pen and note pad near by- totting up your minutes is a great incentive! good luck - and good for you - as a strong self respecting woman - who is not afraid to try something different to bring in the pennies - and belive me - as much as my friends take the mick - they all love trying to get me to talk about some of the stranger convos lol - xx
