All depends how you look at it........for arguments sake, if the OP got the £5 pw from birth til the child was 16, that would be £4,160. Worth bothering now!?

Plus if it's already happened twice then he's got no reason to think it couldn't happen again. Could be a bigger problem and happening to other people too.
It needs to be gotten to the bottom of, absolutely."Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0 -
complain directly using the e-mail link on there website and point out that you have been inconvenienced financially and time wise. It won't cost you a fortune in phone calls then. Include a contact number and you will get a call from the complaints team. Once you complain things move quite quickly i have found - especially if you state that unless you get the problem resolve within say 7 working days you will be contacting your MP. You may even get a small (£30) award of an ex-gratia payment to compensate you for their incompetence .
so far i have had 2 of these payments and more importantly my case was boosted up the system and the missing payments chased up.
good luck
also make a note of each person you speak to - the csa system is terrible but the individual staff usually do care and try their best.0
