Is it possible to obtain cashback through PayPal?
Someone said that they pay it to your bank account.

Oh. Wait a moment. That would be you.

I spoke to them last night and they award your cashback once a year in January to your bank account.
Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
    :coffee:
  • What I meant is - If you put your cashback credit card as your primary card in PayPal and buy things on eBay using PayPal, can you still obtain cashback that way?
  • GOT IT! :j

Say that you get £50 worth of cashback in January - that is credited to your credit account as a positive balance.

Then in February you spend £150. You'll get a bill through the post which says that they'll take the cashback amount and use it to reduce the amount that you owe them. So basically, the £50 cashback is used and the amount you owe them is reduced to £100. The cashback is essentially 'credit' that's used to reduce the amount that you owe them.

When I asked the woman on the phone about how do I set up payment to pay the balance off in full automatically each month, she said that it's not possible??
  • All the links for this card seem to be down. I was actually thinking of applying for it today but it's says it's been removed from the MBNA website. I rang up MBNA and they said it's still going and should be on there.
Is it working for anybody else?

You should be able to pay the full balance each month.
Try giving them a ring and tell them you want to "set the direct debit for the full amont" each month, this might do the trick.

    Hi chippy_250,

I applied for the amex version a few days ago, but I can't get any of the links to work either today.
If they are saying it is still available you might be able to apply over the phone. Their applications number can be found here https://www.mbna.co.uk/contact-us/index.html

You can arrange a DD to pay the entire amount each month on you account page on the MBNA website.
