Hotels in Droitwich Spa

Options
Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations (or not!) for decent hotels in and around Droitwich Spa? We are there for a Saturday night theatre trip in May but don't want to break the bank.

Thanks :)

depends how much u want to pay really! And also how far out of the middle of droitwich u would travel. And if you want posh or normal....!

I for one wouldnt stay in a hotel IN Droitwich apart from the St Andrews Hotel www.st-andrewshotel.com but i am pretty sure that is quite pricey!

Just outside in Wychbold (5mins up the road really) is The Crown which is a pubby type hotel... it is okay. http://www.marstonsinns.co.uk/Droitwich/Crown-Wychbold Its nothing special though.

http://www.chateau-impney.com/index.html is mega pricey but nothing special inside.. the drive up to it is pretty posh and from the outside it looks very special!

All in all, Droitwich isn't the most lovely of places to be honest so you won't find anything great i dont personally think! So i would go for The Crown.
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

There is also a Travelodge situated just off the motorway junction, about 5 mins drive away from Droitwich centre.

    Thanks for these.

I'd seen bad/negative reports about the Travelodge and Chateau Impney but wanted objective views! Never been to Droitwich before so open minded but I don't want to spend over £100 on the night but do want a clean place with lots of hot water and a decent breakfast. Like my treats but trying to save money.

The Crown looks a good bet - thanks for your help.
  • Chateau impney is in receivership so probably why bad reviews. building and grounds stunning

Chateau Impney looks great from the outside, such a shame it's in receivership.

    Thanks.
