Redundancy Advice for the wife

My wife has worked for her current employer since around 2002. Just last month they found out they will be closing the department that she works in and everyone will get made redundant.
Now my question is currently she is working part time 16 hours a week. I will give u a break down of what she has worked in previous years:
* 2002 - dec 2007 full time (37hrs)
* dec 2007 - dec 2008 maternity leave
* dec 2008 - dec 2009 full time (37hrs)
* dec 2009 - dec 2010 maternity leave
* dec 2010 - currently part time (16hrs)
So will she get redunacy pay based on a full time wage or her part time wage?
Thanks

all depends if her company offers her an enhancement but you usually get redundancy on what hours she is doing now. Some companies give extra money so it might be best for her to contact HR and get a estimated figure.0

Unless there is a written agreement with your wife or a Company agreement then the normal rules for redundancy would be based on current salary and be averaged over the past 12 weeks pay. She should get the actual amount of redundancy from the HR department. In any event she should get redundancy plus either 8 weeks notice or PILON as a minimum.
The other thing to check is that she and her colleagues are getting the right amount of consultation ie min 30 days if 20-99 jobs to go and 90 days if 100 +.0 -
Unless the employer says otherwise you should expect a payout based on her current salary.0
