18185 are not supporting sms text

    It certainly looks like it.

    1899 first (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3156990) and now 18185.

    And it appears the same is the case with 18866.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    I beg your pardon i dont promote products i have a connection with, its against site rules for starters,but MSE recommends it here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/free-text-messages

    It does what it says on the tin. If you use the search facility your see it quite often gets a mention.

    I use Localphone for both texts and calls it's cheaper than 18185 especially if you are using a mobile or you are a non bt customer. Hope that helps someone
    never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow

    But unlike 18185 it does not offer freephone access so you have to have inclusive minutes to use it ,or pay for for call to access number which increases price.
