Take Along Thomas & Friends

Why do toy manufacturers change their products! :mad:

Already had lots of thomas and friends take along trains (the ones with the smart magnets) ready for little boys xmas present (reduced in Argos earlier this year). Managed to get some take along track in Woolworths on Saturday with more free engines. Spent most of this morning looking around the toyshops for the main set only to get it home and its diffent to the track we got from Woolworths yet it says its the same stuff.:mad: :mad: After speaking to the manufacturer they have refreshed the track and there is lots of old and new track in the shops that doesnt fit together unless you get some adapters which surprise surprise are out of stock.

Feel like dumping the whole lot it a skip and giving my son a cardboard box to play with. Wish I believed in Father Christmas.

I noticed this last week in Toys'R'us, the one set I considered buying was a train station that had some of the new style track but he has tons of the other stuff. I didn't bother buying it since he has so much of it anyway but I agree it seems to be a con. Doesn't even look as robust as the older track.
