This is interesting, i recieved a letter today and rang student finance who told me i will not recieve any of the tuition fee loan.
I will have completed 180 points of OU courses by oct and these have been spread over 3 years, i have recieved full funding for each one. When i spoke to student finance they said i had completed 4 years worth of study which is confusing in itself plus even though each course was part time this still counts as a full year.

    I am rather confused.

    That's a worry!

Did you not have any other study? Did you get a qualification through the Open University?

You should definitely try and speak to someone else there.
  • No the only other study i did previous to that was a 1 year BTEC foundation art and design course.
The only qualification i will get from the ou, after i finish my current course in october, is a certificate of higher education from completing 2 level 1 courses.

Yes a call is definately in order! and i am more prepared now to fully argue my case.
