Please help - this is someone trying to con me i think!!

I have a cooker advertised in my local friday ad and i had a email come through requesting details so i sent photos.
I have had this reply:
Hello
Thanks very much for your honesy and
transparency.I will want you to know that i am okay
with the everything about the (item)and i will offer
you £50 for it.

In regards to the shippment,i have contact my shipper
and he told me that he will come for the pick up of
the (item) from your place (by airline) as soon as the
transaction must have been sealed.

This is how the payment will be made ,a client
of mine in UK who is owing me some fund £3,500, I will
instruct him to issue a certified Cashier's check in
your name and once the cashier's check clears you will
deduct the cost of the ( item)compensation and any tax
incurred and my balance will be send back to my
shipper via western union money transfer for immediate
shipping arrangement.

I want you to get back to me ASAP with the following
details below so that i can instruct my client to
issue the cashier's check asap.i want you to write
your info according in the below..,.......

This is some kind of con isnt it - its just a bizzare response!!!

  • Yes I think that is a scam all right. I remember hearing the same one but they were buying a car. My advice is to be extremely cautious. Or in other words avoid.

    That's the cheque advance scam (419) just ignore them or report them to the advertising editor.
