  • you can't find out if someone is insured that way - but when someone hit my car while we were parked in a supermarket carpark; he refused to give me his details - i got his number plate and reported it to my insurance company; WHO TOLD ME WHO THE CAR WAS INSURED WITH.

So tell your friend to report it to her insurance company; they'll give her the details of the 3rd party insurance.

It actually only you OWN vehicle you are allowed to check for free...you are asked to tick a box on askmid to confirm that the car you are checking is owned by you...

In saying that , how many people actually stick to this rule ;) , I know I have used it to check cars that dont belong to me before.
The loopy one has gone :j
