Southsea Parking

I'm going to the Isle of Wight this weekend to see my family and was wondering if anyone local or experienced could tell me what the parking situation is like around the hovercraft terminal. Would it be possible to park somewhere close(ish) on the street from Friday evening to midday Monday? Or are there any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Rich

Unfortunately, all the parking along the sea front, the two car parks, and most on street parking nearest to the hovercraft is every day pay and display parking. (Think it's 8am to 8pm at the moment.)
You could park a little way away and walk/bus/taxi to the terminal if you don't mind a walk and don't have much luggage.
I can suggest several places to park where the car should be safe as well as being out of a residents parking area if you are interested.
Just let me know how far you are willing to walk.....:)0 -
I'm pretty sure there is long stay parking somewhere, as a colleague of mine commutes across from IoW to work. That said, I wouldn't be able to speak to them, as I'm off work due to surgery right now.
Daft idea, but maybe call Portsmouth City Council for advice?0
