Horticultural vandalism: Gardeners’ World garden Greenacre goes to seed
Amateur Gardening has exposed a shocking waste of BBC Licence Fee-payers’ money by revealing exclusive pictures of Greenacre, the abandoned BBC Gardeners’ World Garden.
The only sign of life in Toby’s veg garden in front of the iconic potting shed (home to the hated what’s-hot-and-what’s-not board) is a hungry magpie.
An exotic garden, planted by Toby, appears to contain just one dead palm tree while nearby trial beds lay empty. Timber and bird nesting boxes have been spotted in wheelbarrows.

Pretty sad but.... Any TV show that is cancelled or moves will leave behind a set. Turning it over to allotments sounds like the best idea0

I agree - it would be a waste of money to maintain the garden if they are not using it... They should turn it into allotments and do a programme about it0

Im sure most of the plants were rehomed. the biggest waste are the walls, greenhouse and improvements.0

I love a garden like that. I will be lucky to get a allotment given I waited almost 2 years now0

The location isnt suitable for allotments, no public access to the site.
However, next door is Winterbourne, maybe the BBC could hand it back to them0 -
